Foresthill, CA
Foresthill is a census-designated place in Placer County, California, United States. It is home to roughly 1,483 people. After gold was discovered in 1850, the Forest House hotel and trade station were constructed and Forest Hill was first inhabited. The post office was founded in 1859 under the name “Forest Hill,” but the name was changed to “Foresthill” in 1895. By 1880, Foresthill was one of Placer County’s major cities. The town’s main roadway was 80 feet wide, as befitting such an important location.
